Storing Nested Objects in Redis

One way to optimize your applications is through caching. It helps to minimize database transactions by storing frequently accessed data to memory, which results to fast retrieval of data. I use Redis for caching data, among other things, because it is flexible enough and easy to use. Redis is a key-value store. Meaning you have this unique key to access the stored value. These value can be a string, list, sets, hashes, sorted sets, and bitmaps and hyperloglogs.

PyCon PH 2018 Notes

The highlight of the opening remarks was the PyCon Code of Conduct. This code of conduct aims for the attendees, organizer, sponsors, and volunteer to have an enjoyable and fulfilling PyCon experience. Below is the quoted short version of the PyCon PH Code of Conduct. You can also find the long version of this CoC at the PyCon PH 2018 website.

PyCon PH is a community conference intended for collaboration in the developer community.

We value the participation of each member of the Python community and want all attendees to have an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. Accordingly, all attendees are expected to show respect and courtesy to other attendees throughout the conference and at all conference events, whether officially sponsored by Python.PH or not.

To make clear what is expected, all delegates/attendees, speakers, exhibitors, organizers and volunteers at any PyCon event are required to conform to the following Code of Conduct. Organizers will enforce this code throughout the event.

MozTour and Firefox OS Workshop at MCU

It was a successful whole day event for Mozilla Philippines Community at Manila Central University! The first part of the event was the MozTour. Here we discussed the overview of Mozilla, Firefox Student Ambassador, and the overview of Mozilla Learning. The topics was discussed by Faye Tandog, Joshua Rubin, and Ryan Ermita, respectively.
